If they can manage the price, this fairly large battery for normal daily work and ICE for longer jobs or pulling a trailer seems like a good fit to replace diesels.

With the upcoming Ram 1500 Ramcharger recently being pulled ahead, it seems Ram no longer sees the need for the long-range variant of the Ram REV. To recap, the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger is a plug-in hybrid pickup that combines impressive performance with exceptional range and capability. It delivers 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

The Ramcharger is equipped with a 92 kWh battery and an onboard 130 kW generator powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine. It targets a total range of up to 690 miles and boasts a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds, with a maximum payload of 2,625 pounds. This makes it a versatile choice for both work and recreation, eliminating range anxiety while towing thanks to the onboard generator.
