I searched the forums and wasn’t able to find anything detailing the similarities between the 4G Taco and the 6G Runner. I imagine there are a fair amount of accessories that would work on both. Especially interior accessories or front end parts.

I’d love to get a Rough Country Hidden Winch mount installed. Based off the post indicating that the 4G Taco bumper and trim parts bolt straight on the 4Runner makes me wonder if that would be a similar situation.

Also the Caliraised MOLLE interior accessories would be handy as well. I can barely tell the difference between the interiors based off pictures.

I am normally very patient but this is the first time I’ve gotten a first year of a new generation vehicle. I’ve always waited a year or two before jumping in. I’m finding my resilience tested haha.

It would be great to have a list of Tacoma accessories that have been proven to fit the 4R6G. Or maybe the inverse, those that do not fit...

I ordered the ICS Fab dash mount and it looked like it would fit and the mounting brackets are angled wrong. I contacted them and they said Toyota said it was the same but it’s not. Once I sent them pics they agreed it needed to be different. All that to say I think it’s a buy at your own risk if there are slight differences to mounting points and what not.

This is my fear as well. Subtle enough differences to make the endeavor a MacGyver rerun.

So far I'm batting ZERO for having any interior accessories that crossed over from Tacoma to 4Runner. All those stupid little things like the center console organizer, center console tray, glovebox organizer.. All of them "almost" fit, but there is a slight difference in size. When I say slight, I mean a few mm, tops. Just enough so that they don't fit properly.
