Surely that huge 14” screen cannot just be for your everyday apps… Any recommendations on how to play Netflix / movies on it?

Thanks.

I’ve done some research. Lots of car “AI Boxes” that essentially turn your screen into a tablet have audio lag and poor resolution. This one has been reviewed to be the best for streaming and video with no lag and supposedly cuts down on choppiness others have and has great resolution output.

Mine actually came in the mail today. I’ll report back with some feedback.

This states only works with wired CarPlay. 6G is wireless. Manufactors website says 2024 4Runner not supported

I was told the 6g will work wired, if you use the USB-C connection that's on the right side of the screen.

I didn’t look too far into it.

His Tundra has the same system the 6g does. There’s an option to plug in as well even on the 6g.

Keep the options pouring in, guys. And dont worry, i dont intend to pollute lil Billy’s brains while in his mommy’s Sienna.. only wholesome shows on my screen “when im out” in public.

I have the link a few posts above... seems it would be best to probably download a bunch of stuff to a larger SD card but sync for audio is no problem and video was just as good as my iPad. If you haven't watched Race for the crown I thought it was really good. it was acting angry till I turned off blue tooth and wifi on my phone and then connected to the device. My plan isn't to watch as much as listen when my wife gets to enjoy a movie without having to hold an iPad for hours on end.

Working on TRD Pro. Pretty great little setup. Haven’t decided where I want to put it yet but I will only be using this for when I sometimes will have lunch in my car at work, don’t worry I bring a bib and towel (joking but I should) or little car camps. So I will unplug and put away when I’m driving to switch to using internal CarPlay and the Toyota UI. I think the sound output is better when you use internal CarPlay as well, playing through the Bruxe’s spoofed CarPlay is not as smooth and loses sound quality. Overall, I will be loving the ability to watch off-road YouTube videos sometimes at lunch and maybe a full-back seat movie when camping. Next March watching games in the car has me excited, and to the haters, no I won’t watch and drive I’m not stupid I feel like I’ve turned into a 16 year old driving this thing I’m so careful. I mean the thing is a tv screen! I shouldn’t love the big thing as much as I do.

I’ll try and do an update with how consistent quality is after I get to poke around and test some apps but I assume it’s all internet connection. The thing seems to have solid enough graphics power to stream a video well with good connection.

Hey man, any chance you would be able to help me out? I recently purchased this and am not understanding how to get it hooked up to the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to have this set up to help my son/wife stay busy on long drives that we take.
